Our Software:

  • Our drones autonomously navigate using computer vision and GPS, in order to recognize and avoid obstacles, as well as navigate towards pollution.

  • Floating trash builds up in "pollution hotspots," which move based on environmental factors. Our drones constantly collect data regarding trash location and other factors, and our model can predict the trash location in advance.

  • Our system plans each drone's optimal route in context of the drone's changing surroundings and its fellow drones.

Our Hardware:

  • Our drones employ a conveyor belt collection system in order to maximize capacity while minimizing drag.

  • Once our drones have finished their routes, they return to their modular "hubs" in order to empty their trash, recharge, and undergo maintenance.
